SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. – On February 25, 2025, a San Bernardino County jury convicted Defendant Sulton William White of five counts consisting of Forcible Rape and Forcible Oral Copulation, as well as, found true the use of firearm/deadly weapon allegations.
The five counts consisted of three different incidents with separate victims, but DNA and eyewitness evidence linked Defendant White to several incidents with separate victims occurring from 2016 through 2022 and in the cities of Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Long Beach, and Pomona.

2020 Attack on Sex Worker in Los Angeles, CA
On May 9, 2020, in Los Angeles, White approached a woman working as a prostitute and agreed to pay her for sexual services. Once she entered the vehicle, he threatened her with a knife and then forced her to perform oral and vaginal sex. As a result of the DNA obtained from the sexual assault kit, law enforcement was able to connect Defendant, through his DNA, to this incident. This investigation was conducted by Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD).
2021 Attack on Sex Worker in San Bernardino, CA
On December 3, 2021, in San Bernardino, White approached a woman working as a prostitute and agreed to pay her for sexual services. Once she entered the vehicle, he threatened her with a gun and then forced her to perform oral and vaginal sex. As a result of the DNA obtained from the sexual assault kit, law enforcement was able to connect Defendant, through his DNA, to this incident. This investigation was conducted by San Bernardino Police Department.
2022 Attack on Woman in Long Beach, CA
On January 27, 2022, in Long Beach, White approached a woman at a liquor store and invited her into his vehicle. Once she entered the vehicle, he threatened her with a gun and then forced her to perform oral and vaginal sex. As a result of the DNA obtained from the sexual assault kit, law enforcement was able to connect Defendant, through his DNA, to this incident. This investigation was conducted by Long Beach Police Department.

2016 Incident at a Nightclub in Inglewood, CA
On June 9, 2016, in Inglewood, White approached a woman at a nightclub and she agreed to go to his car with him. While inside the vehicle, when the woman attempted to pause their interaction, White became upset and tased her with a stun gun. As a result of the DNA obtained from the sexual assault kit, law enforcement was able to connect Defendant, through his DNA, to this incident. This investigation was conducted by Los Angeles Police Department.
2021 Undercover Operation in Hollywood, CA
In October 2021, during an undercover operation where police officers pose as sex workers, White approached a woman, appearing to work as a sex worker, and agreed to pay money for sexual services. Moments later he was arrested and a loaded firearm was located inside his vehicle. This investigation was conducted by Los Angeles Police Department.
2022 Attack on Sex Worker in Pomona, CA
On April 9, 2022, in Pomona, White approached a woman working as a prostitute and agreed to pay her for sexual services. Once she entered the vehicle, he threatened her with a gun and forced her to perform vaginal sex. Moments later, White was positively identified and a loaded firearm in his vehicle. This investigation was conducted by Pomona Police Department.
2022 Traffic Stop in Los Angeles, CA
On August 9, 2022, in Los Angeles, White was driving in an area known for prostitution when law enforcement conducted a traffic stop on his vehicle and located a loaded firearm. This investigation was conducted by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Trial
The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office handled the prosecution of this complex case. This case was first filed in September 2022, however when additional victims were located, the original case was dismissed and refiled with additional charges. The case was first tried in November 2023 and then retried in January 2025.
The victims testified throughout both trials, recounting the violence Defendant White committed against them. Additionally, officers and several witnesses from multiple agencies (Los Angeles, San Bernardino, Long Beach, and Pomona) testified regarding the 911 calls, DNA findings, and the full case investigation, highlighting the connections and similarities among these cases.
On August 1st, 2025, Defendant Sulton William White was sentenced to 75 years to life in state prison, ending his predatory violence against women.
