With a strong desire to protect his community in the courtroom and beyond, Deputy District Attorney Tyler Beach joins the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office.
Tyler graduated the Army and Navy Academy, an all-male military boarding high school in Carlsbad, California, which solidified his desire to protect and serve at an early age. Tyler went on to do his undergraduate education at UCLA. Tyler graduated UCLA in 2016 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science, with an emphasis in International Relations.
Deputy District Attorney Tyler Beach was sworn in on Wednesday, March 3, 2021 by District Attorney Jason Anderson.
“I always wanted to look out for victims and be the voice for the voiceless, while at the same time holding those who do harm accountable.”

Tyler spent the year between undergraduate and law school studying for the LSAT, and as a lifeguard and summer camp counselor at the Sherwood Lakes Club in Thousand Oaks, CA. In this limited free time, Tyler enjoys playing golf, snowboarding, cooking, and reading crime novels.
Tyler’s interest in becoming a prosecutor began during his undergraduate education when a young Tyler was nearing graduation. Tyler thought to himself, “What am I going to do with a political science degree?” That question, along with some parental pressure, found Tyler searching online for an internship hoping for an opportunity to open some doors upon graduation. That’s when he came across a posting for a Volunteer Student Worker with the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office. Although Tyler didn’t know much about the role of or what a day in the life of a prosecutor entails, it intrigued him. So Tyler applied, interviewed, and was assigned to the hardcore gang division in downtown Los Angeles.
There may be such thing as love at first sight because from Tyler’s first day on the job… he was hooked. Tyler said to himself, “So, this is what attorneys do?” He thought attorneys sat in their offices for hours on end and negotiated contracts. Tyler loved observing the deputy district attorneys in court and he realized that he someday wanted to do the same. The day in the life of a prosecutor did, and continues, to excite, fascinate, and inspire him. Although he didn’t know it at the time, this internship in a prosecutor’s office would serve as the catalyst for Tyler’s decision to attend law school and pursue a career as a deputy district attorney.
In 2017, Tyler began his law school education at Chapman University – Dale E. Fowler School of Law, where he graduated with a Juris Doctorate in May of 2020.
During law school, Tyler clerked in both the Orange County District Attorney’s Office and Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Offices in both of the county’s gang units along with other various misdemeanor units. After graduating law school in May 2020, Tyler began a post-bar clerkship with the San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office in the west valley division, where he happily calls home today.
“It’s truly an honor and a privilege to serve the San Bernardino County community. A career as a prosecutor is the one job that affords me the opportunity to come to work every day and absolutely love what I do, who I work with, what I am working towards. I leave at the end of the day with a satisfaction that I am leaving the world in a better place than when I found it.”
