SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY, Calif. – The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office filed charges against Jashanpreet Singh (21) of Yuba City. The charges are related to Singh’s alleged actions on Oct. 21, 2025, driving a semi-truck with gross negligence that resulted in a multi vehicle crash, killing three victims and seriously injuring several more on the 10 Freeway West near the Milliken offramp in Ontario CA.
Officers with California Highway Patrol immediately assumed the investigation, which is ongoing, with on-scene assistance from San Bernardino County District Attorney Office Bureau of Investigation and Office of Traffic Safety Unit prosecutors. Eyewitness and dashcam footage show Defendant Singh travelling at a high rate of speed into stopped traffic. Three fatalities and at least two injured individuals have been confirmed. Singh was arrested at the scene under suspicion of DUI.

“This is a heinous tragedy that took three lives and severely injured others. Frankly, it was easily avoidable if the defendant was not driving in a grossly negligent manner and impaired. Had the rule of law been followed by State and Federal officials the defendant should have never been in California at all”, said San Bernardino County District Attorney, Jason Anderson.
“Thankfully, the Inland Empire California Highway Patrol managed and processed a massive and chaotic scene in order to provide us with the evidence we need to aggressively prosecute this case on behalf of the surviving victim and the surviving loved ones of the victims killed by the defendant.”

This morning, upon review of the evidence and facts obtained thus far submitted to our Office, the following charges have been filed.
Counts 1,2, and 3- PC191.5– Vehicular Manslaughter with Gross Negligence. This charges carries an enhancement for multiple victims.
Count 4- VC23153 – DUI Causing Injury. This charge carries an enhancement for Great Bodily Injury and Multiple Victims
Defendant Singh is due to be arraigned Oct. 24, 2025 on all charges at the Rancho Cucamonga Superior Courthouse, time and location TBD. Bail was set at no bail, and our office will continue to request no bail based on the seriousness of the offence and his flight risk. Pending further investigation additional charges may be added.
