The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has charged Tobias Walnofer (Age 25 of Redlands) with failing to disperse at an unlawful assembly.
CASE SYNOPSIS
On Saturday, August 1, 2020, a protest occurred in the city of Yucaipa, on Yucaipa Boulevard. When the protest became volatile, the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department declared it an unlawful assembly. Several people were arrested, to include Tobias Wanofer.
After reviewing this case, our office has charged Walnofer with violation of the following California Penal Code section:
Penal Code Section 409 – Riot, Rout: Remaining After Warning To Disperse
Every person remaining present at the place of any riot, rout, or unlawful assembly, after the same has been lawfully warned to disperse, except public officers and persons assisting them in attempting to disperse the same, is guilty of a misdemeanor.
