The San Bernardino County District Attorney’s Office has completed its review of the in-custody death which occurred on March 5, 2023. This incident occurred in the city of Montclair and involved Montclair Police Department. The encounter was investigated by San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department.

The District Attorney’s office has always reviewed officer-involved shootings and lethal force encounters in San Bernardino County.
District Attorney Jason Anderson established a team of trained and experienced deputy district attorneys and investigators to review these lethal force encounters and respond to the scene of shootings.
